This Oris watch deserves nothing more than a kick up the ass, overpriced piece of junk, and ugly too.
Check out the Borealis range at borealiswatch.com, exactly the same features, 1/7th the price. When there, go to menu - "store" then "divers watch" then "Borealis Portus Cale" and weep at the quality and the low price😁

MbotOverpriced, yes. Ugly piece of junk, far from it. As far as the Borealis, that is a good price for a 9015 but the delivery says "mid July 2018" but still out of stock. Are they completely sold out again or late on delivery?

Mbotlol, you mean their chinese case* supplier, who manufactures the exact same watch for different brands, can't keep up with demand.

dantelindtWell quite frankly, since the Borealis watch is 30ATM, sapphire glass, 316L, awesome dial, excellent auto 9015, screw-down crown, all for $160, I'll gladly wait for the next shipment.
You're welcome to plonk $1500 on the Oris and get sweet fluff😁
Who's the smart one. You, or the Chinese case* suplier?😂

MbotFeatures =/= Quality. I agree the Oris is overpriced, but they absolutely aren't junk. Quality wise, I'd take Oris over Borealis any day. Doesn't mean I'd pay $1,500 for one, but the quality is absolutely better than a Borealis.

Whaf03Wrong - the Oris has a standard movement with a 2824 base, so it is nothing special.
How is the Oris better than the Borealis.

MbotNo, you're wrong. I'm not talking about the movement. I'm talking about the entire product. There's a lot more quality control that goes into making a watch than just what movement you choose. The lume is better on the Oris. The steel finish is better on the Oris. The bracelet is better on the Oris. The overall attention to detail is much better on the Oris. I've seen both in person. They don't compare. The Borealis is good for its price, but it's not on the quality level of Oris.

Whaf03316L steel is all the same, and even the watch case on a $50 watch is on-par with an Oris, even on-par with a Rolex.

MbotYou actually think because they use the same steel that the quality of the finish is the same? Seriously? Think whatever you want. Like I said, I've seen both in person. The Borealis looks cheap. The attention to detail is not on the same level as Oris. It's good quality for its price, but it's not comparible to the Oris. It just isn't.
