Most people who wear dive watches don’t actually do much diving with them. The Oris Aquis Depth Gauge gives you peace of mind if you ever do. Water resistant to a remarkable 500 meters, it’s built like a tank—but it doesn’t wear like one. The depth gauge, where the watch gets its name, you’d hardly even notice without a close-up look. It takes the form of a small depression at 12 o’clock, one that actually lets water in to take a read on the pressure exerted on the case. As pressure changes, you’ll get a depth reading around the perimeter of the dial. Overall, the watch is very legible, with thick hands and lumed markers throughout. The standard version comes with both a black and yellow rubber strap; the chronograph version comes with a black rubber strap and a stainless steel bracelet. Swap them out with the included strap-changing tool.
