Over a half century ago, Oris released its famous Waterproof timepiece, a watch that became an instant classic. Today the company is paying homage to the classics with the newly redesigned Divers Sixty-Five, a tribute to the original that’s been made larger with an updated movement Read More
Let’s see how quickly this sells for $1095.
Good job Drop. And by good job, I mean get someone else to run your watch department.
As someone who has literally, not figuratively, but literally spent thousands of dollars here on watches, I’m done with you until I see an announcement that the useless broad in charge has been fired and you’ve put someone competent and knowledgeable about watches and product management in place.
Freaking wankers.
Notice that nowhere in my reply I have disputed that limited-quantity drops occur. Nor have I said anything to dispute the quality of products that might appear from time to time.
Ray, I'll put it as simply as can be: there is a way to act, and a way to not act. There is a way to communicate, and a way to not communicate. These truths are applicable to any context, including here. If you can't see that (and it's somewhat apparent that you can't, since you consider the original comment "well thought out"), there's really no hope for any real dialogue with you.
stigman88I was 35 minutes after the email, I clearly had no chance!!!

stigman88They had 1 or 2. Drop has gone downhill in terms of obtaining watches or even launching the ones they have. I suppose if you grab one quick enough you’ll be happy, but in that case why not just shop on eBay? You won’t have to wait weeks or months to get the item, either.
Nice watch, but not worth $1,100.00 in my opinion. No watch with a Sellita SW200-1 is worth that much. Nothing special about this one, no added complications, just the Oris dial and case. There was a Glycine drop a few months back with the exact same movement for a fraction of the cost (around $300.00, if memory serves me).
I grant you the added value, but that is mere flesh, bones and skin, which ages with time - as we all do. The movement is the soul of the watch. Beauty diminishes with age, but the watch that still keeps good time after five or ten years is a good watch.
I agree.................. Its about time makers of time pieces stop being pigs. $1,100 for what ????
Know what is the hottest what in NYC Union Square. Timex................. Party is over for these Pirates.
God bless those in need and harms way. marv
Marv, Seriously? your telling me that I see things in black and white? Value is sometimes pure technical, and sometimes it is emotion and feeling. Seems like your seeing things in black and white. Is the 65 technically worth its money? maybe not, but is it emotionally worth the money? Hell yea, its a beautiful watch, it looks great, its well made and I am happy with it. Maybe you should see things grey and give it a try...
yantopI stand down my friend. You are correct and whom am I to state what is good and bad. I think we can both agree a functional Sundial is not practical because its hard on the sleeve. God bless.

Thanks for the lack of inventory Drop. You’ve positioned yourselves perfectly to alienate customers by running out of what people actually want within 15 minutes.
Better stop with these kind of offers. Received the email at 17:15 Amsterdam time. Looked at 17:23. All sold out. Really, there is no point. Did you have two??
TwentySixAndSo I should be able to pick up a low-milage, baby wallaby for cheap then?
Toss in a can of Foster's and jar of Vegemite, and you've got a deal!
You're never going to get Massdrop to list $200 under already discounted prices at a grey market dealer. Simply won't happen, not on Oris pieces anyway, some discontinued Victorinox yes probably. And i was just commenting on Joma's wide range of prices as a simple comment not a reply.
