I saw these for a little cheaper on eBay. Is there a greater possibility of them not being genuine there? Any way to tell if they might be fake/knock-offs before and after buying?

werekongThey retail in China about 350CNY, which is almost flat price here on massdrop, I say stay away from ebay as you get no warranty from there, and as the others pointed out, trying to get to a Chinese company for manufacture warranty is almost impossible either.
