Hey I just pulled the trigger on this thing but if got one question pertaining to fitting..im 5'6" 155lbs and am curious if this jacket will work size wise. If not then I'll find a proper home for it i suppose
nevermind helmet question addressed
helmet compatible ?????
Just got mine. So far I'm loving it. If this drop comes back I may jump in for another color. :)
We need some adidas gear in here.
I've got 2 pairs of ferrosi pants and if the jacket is the same weight softshell material be mindful that it's not super durable. Both my pairs of pants started wearing noticeably after one season of normal use. Mainly pilling on the thighs. I wear them a lot mind you, gym and outdoor climbing, hiking, alpine climbing as well as day to day.

The fabric in the hoodie is a little heavier
Well, hopefully this jacket will keep me warm enough and dry enough on El Camino Norte in late summer/early fall. I have some merino tees I can layer with it. That will be it's sole initial purpose.

Sounds great, enjoy!

Meh, not really needed in a softshell this light. Would just add weight
Any XS for men's?
i got one on an earlier drop. It's a useful jacket,if slightly niche, for a hiker. the hood is preposterous, though. Seems to be designed for someone with a giant melon shaped head.
I get that it is shaped for a climbing helmet but the lack of adjustment makes this a real design flaw. If you cinch the toggles the hood comes down to your nose. If you don't cinch it you have a floppy cowl flopping in the wind like a benedictine monk's.
I could cut two eyeholes in it I suppose....
Just requested again. Hoping the color options will improve. Especially hoping for red and black color options.
I love this jacket. Perfect for cooler spring trips. Great wind protection, great for layering underneath. Almost tempted to get a second colour.

Mind if I ask which color did you choose?
Dango
I have the kale/hops colour, which I love, but I also really like that new Peacock/saddle colour ..
I’d be all in if the Summit was an option here. Something to consider.
....so it’s now March 13. Zero communication, still no shipment. WTF?

”There should be an update coming soon to address the issue. “ Coming soon???
I just got an update from Massdrop support: "I've just received word from the logistics team that there was an issue from the vendor with invoicing, and they are actively working on a solution to the problem. There should be an update coming soon to address the issue. I appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to resolve this issue". This looks like a standard response, if there was an invoicing issue why is it only affecting some people and not others, as about 25% of orders were shipped last Friday.
Got this email today (5March2018) on shipping status: " Due to an unexpected delay, these orders may ship later than the original estimated ship date. Our apologies for any inconvenience. If we find that the drop is going to be delayed by more than 30 days, we will let you know.If you would prefer to cancel your order, please contact Community Support using the “Contact Support” button on your transactions page and our Community Support Team will be able to help cancel your order up until it is ready for shipment. " Not a very good experience for my first drop. :(

Yep...not the best service by any measure.

The same thing happened to me :(
Apparently only about 25% of the orders from this drop have been shipped so far, I'm still waiting on further information.
Anyone had their order shipped? It's now March 2 which is the estimated ship date and my order is still not shipped.
AussieBushman
Mine neither

Not shiped yet.
I'm 6'2 195 and ordered a Large. I'm worried it may be too small. Anyone else have an idea on that?
chancemikos
It depends on how you wear it and what kind of fit you like. I'm your same exact size and use an xl mainly because I like to use it as an outerlayer and wear it over a puffy or fleece. A Large will definitely be a tight/slim fit so if you like that and plan on wearing it on its own or as an underlayer you should be good. But as an outerlayer you probably won't be able to fit too much under it other than a baselayer.
This is a really nice jacket. I got it from MD last year in the mushroom version. Lightweight, stretchy, works great with just a t-shirt or baselayer underneath (or more!). I liked it so much, i bought the Summit version in red for mountain biking and hoped-for snowshoeing (over a puffy). I'm 6'-0" at 210lbs and the L was just a tad too small, went with the XL.
Is this jacket good as a second layer on a merino wool long sleeve tee shirt?
bensbens
i imagine so.
What? No men’s Dusk L option?
Would be great to add the Summit option. Not at all interested in a vanilla Ferrosi.
anybody want the size L I got at the last drop? Turned out to be too big for me.
EZ_living
What's your body size? It might help to chose for me .
hushsh
5'10", 175. Not sure why I got the large.
The one I got was light green. Not worn, tags still in it. If you want to "trade" and get mine right away, let me know!
I'm 5’11” (180cm) and 176lbs (80kg). And can't decide between the M and L. what do you think?

I'm 174,5cm and 82kg... i don't know what size to choose L or M? Last week i bought a windveil jacket from Rab, i choose the M and it was too small for me
bensbens
I'd still go medium... Outdoor research is much more generously sized. I've got a medium rab microlight that barely fits around my hips.
I picked up one of these on a recent trip out to Seattle for a wind/light waterproof layer. Can't recommend it enough! Solid build quality, just enough give in the material for layering, and very comfortable for daily wear. This is a great price too. If you're on the fence, the answer at this price point is a yes!
Anyone know sizing for women? I’m 5’3” and 130lbs so pondering between a small or medium. Also, want to be able to layer underneath.
Desertgirl
OR has a sizing chart on their website.
I’m 5’9”, 160lbs ... I’m thinking small would work for me, but does anyone have any experience with the size of these jackets?

Thanks for the replies! I have a slender athletic build and had considered the size for when layering. I found the sizing chart on the OR website and the medium seems like it would be perfect, with just enough room for some layers. I really love that kale/hops colour.
gnarledcoulee
Yep, I would go the medium and you could certainly layer under it. You might get away with the small if you just want a base under it - depends how you are going to use it. The medium would be more versatile.
i got an L instead of a M by accident. Mine still has the tags in it, never wore it outdoors. If you want to get yours faster, let's swap! Or I'll sell you mine for 60.
What? No Men’s Red/Agate in XL? Darn....
