Since this popular lens has been offered, yet not enough interest to drop, can we request something similar? Please get us a drop for the Panasonic 35-100mm f/2.8 Power OIS LUMIX G X VARIO. Thank you.

Common massdrop, just a little lower, $1280 for a grey market, ebay is at that or even slightly lower. If it wasnt a international spec lens then it would be fine, but since it is, just push it a little lower and ill bite.

I have this lens and adore it. I'd be interested in a drop for the new 200mm prime and teleconverters.

Why not go for the new Panasonic Leica 50-200mm f2.8-4.0? Its newer, not as heavy as the 100-400mm and is even a tad sharper and should focus faster if i can believe the reviews on youtube. It has a reach that is half of the 100-400mm but for most people that is enough i think. If you want a longer reach you can put the 1.4 teleconverter on it. It becomes than a 560 equivalent zoomlens instead of 400 mm equivalent.

i dont think its really worth buying zoom lens on micro thirds sensor? thoughts?
Nasty87MFT sensor allows for significantly smaller, lighter lenses at lower costs. Try lugging an 800mm ff equiv lens around; try using such a behemoth w/o a tripod. MFT is, in fact, the ideal format for long-reach lenses. The price on this drop is fair (though certainly not great); the issue I have is the ship date isn't until early/mid May.
Nasty87The portability of quite reasonable zoom lenses is actually a very attractive part of the m4/3'ds format. That said, when you get into the more pro glass I think the trade offs start looking worse as the lens weight goes up. I think something like the Panasonic 100-300mm II might not be as nice glass-wise, but is maybe preferable from a portability standpoint.

Massdrop, this really needs to come down in price. You've offered this drop several times now and I don't think I've seen it actually go through once. I would be in if the price came closer to the $1000 mark. Like others have said, I can get this off amazon for slightly more than the $1300 you guys are asking for.

NoFalconI agree!!! I'd purchase this lens if it were $1100.00 or less. I saw it for $1100.00 last Xmas on ebay offered by a HK merchant. AT that price I would have bought it , unfortunately at that time of year I had other financial obligations.

This is available with an "International warranty" on Amazon for $1450??? 6.3 at 400mm also seems kind of marginal.

BT476.3 at the equivalent 800mm? Marginal? The Nikon 800 prime is 5.6 so thats less than a stop better but also costs 13 thousand dollars. This is a pretty spectacular lens all things considered. And yes, you are better off buying elsewhere since it's gray market and without warranty.
BT47F6.3 @ 800mm ff equivalent is not bad at all; it is very difficult to get this type of lens in other formats.
