The description this time says that the 44 is a Miyota movement and not Chinese (like last time, as I recall). But still wondering... does the white 44 have any lume?
Hey DannyMoon you may want to check your facts, I have been to the panzera workshop in Sydney and watched my watch being assembled in front of my eyes. They guy ( Andrew if i recall) explained that the all panzera watches are made in Australia using parts manufactured in Germany except the movement which is from Japan and the leather strap I got from Italy. I wouldn't say there watches are cheap but when you consider how they are put together I guess it makes sense. Would like to see another drop
Wow! Here we are in 2021!
To those reading- I stand by my comments.
Regardless of where it was made the watch felt cheap and indeed was cheap. I flipped it unworn for a loss.
I remember I could see the plastic movement retainer ring through the case back. The (stainless steel?) case had nothing to it.
Maybe they’ve changed? Who knows. Buy one and see if you’re disappointed like I was?
They definitely were using Chinese movements at the time I posted so make of this comment what you will (about having “no parts or assembly in China”).
I’ve learned over time brands that are consistently on sale and advertise slashed prices are dubious at best.
Just one random person on the internets point of view :)
I got mine from the lastest drop with the NATO strap. The quality is unprecedented. A bit bigger than imagined from images, but of course it is just a matter of measuring for those who are wondering. The domed glass reflects light beautifully. To my surprise it is a screw down crown, which i did not know, and did frankly not expect from a 5ATM dress watch, but nevertheless it's there, i'm not complaining. The movement is ticking on beautifully and very quietly, almost to quiet. I personally do not like the NATO strap, it makes the watch wear like a 47, but with a leather strap it sits very nice even on a wrist of the smaller size.
Just FYI - a 44mm flat faced bauhaus watch is going to look MASSIVE on the wrist. Don't get this if you have bitch wrists like me. 44mm is already a huge sized watch IMO, when you add the flat faced bauhaus case, its going to make it look more like a 46-48 on the wrist.
A large, flat dial that goes right to the edge of the case makes the watch appear much larger than it actually is. Nomos watches are a good example of this.
Very disappointed! not only is the watch manufactured in China, its badly made and doesn't reflect the pictures or reviews. I feel cheated spending this much money on a cheap, disappointing product.
savannaSavanna - your opinion of 'cheap'...'badly made' is based on which criteria?
"Badly made" - has yours fallen apart? Did the dial hands come off? Why have you not exercised your massdrop warranty if that is the case?
I just received mine - the 47mm Breuer chronograph. It is exactly like the youtube video - stunningly detailed and very solidly built. It reflects the quality of the reviews from the internet and I'm really pleased with mine.
IvantheterrificCheap when compared to other watches of the same dollar value. This is watch is not well made, for reasons I have pointed out in my reply below. This brands RRP needs to be at least 50% of it's current rate.
Mine came in, and I made a custom Horween leather strap for it. I used a 24mm wide strap and tapered the ends to match the 22mm lugs. I don't think it wears as large as some people say...
Does anyone else think it's OK to pay this much for a Chinese watch with a plastic retainer ring and no lume? How was this not made obvious in this drop? We really expected a different watch. Purchased the Breuer 44 in white w/ mesh strap. Why would they serialise a cheap China piece? And who in their right mind would pay full price!! I am drawing sharp comparisons with this watch and cheap Chinese "high street" brands like Armani. I suggest they are built under the same roof- and they cost the same RRP too.
b1661I just received my breuer 44. It comes with silver hands and silver applied markers with lume on hands as well as 3,6,9 and 12. Great looking watch!
b1661I got the same model--it feels lighter than I expected, or maybe the weight gets spread out over a larger area. They should lume the entire face. I like the domed crystal.
Same issue with any watch drop anymore.... missing information on watch description (i.e., the thickness of 47 series) and a very tight and confusing drop menu when you try to join the drop!
Then God forbids you buy the wrong item, you get an affidavit of policies and rules of why they can not do anything for you because you - as a long time community member - was misinformed by lacking information and blinded by the tight drop menu when you made the order.
That was not the Massdrop that I was frequenting years ago!
Massdrop of today's -- If you can not get the details right, don't sell watches - period.
I got mine and looks really good but I was a little disappointed on the quality. the blue colour on the thumb screw was a sticker that fell off literally 2 weeks after using it, not to mention the fact that when it arrived it was discoloured on the thumb screw. Hoping the movement and overall watch can make up for it. Also which they sold a 42mm. I have a big wrist so i can get away with it but a 42mm would have really been best.
rohanbhanguiHey man, you do realise that the blue sticker is for packaging purposes only? You are meant to take it off when you get it.. also there was a plastic sticker on the front glass and the back glass on mine also which is meant to be removed as well...
CC70Yeah but it would have been nice to use a very thin rubber, almost like a seal and leave that on the crown, thats what it looks like i nthe picture, brings the watch together
FantstkMrFoxHi, yes the Panzera Breuer was produced in a limited run of 2000 watches, so the serial reflects how many were sold off. Maybe we get random serial numbers from the 2000 rather than numerically sequenced. I'm in Europe. I'm pining for mine. Sooon !
