After you’ve ground your herbal matter to a fine consistency, push one side of the bottom panel and remove the magnetic oven lid. Pack the inner chamber with about a half gram of loose-leaf herbs and tamp down the material for the best possible performance. Once you’re loaded and locked, press down on the top mouthpiece and the tuned thin film heater is ready to rock in 45 to 60 seconds. As the vapor travels through a medical grade, food-safe stainless steel oven and vapor path, you draw nothing but pure, clean vapor with no added flavor.

To see your temperature setting, just turn to the glowing X LED indicator. If you’d like to adjust your heat, remove the mouthpiece and press the white button to cycle between Low, Medium, and High heat. To check your battery level, shake the Pax and the remaining capacity will display as Green (80%), Orange (50%), or Red (20%). To save your battery, an internal accelerometer detects inactivity and puts the Pax in standby mode when not in use. Once you run out of juice, charge your Pax for an hour with the included docking station and you’ll be good for another two hours of continuous use.
