This bit from Pebble website should be mentioned:
Pebble functionality or service quality may be reduced in the future.

EcnePebble got bought out by FitBit (I believe?). So things like warranties and replacements won't be in effect, and their online services will probably go down in the future. So no more updates to the watch, no more new models. I'd recommend this watch before it becomes impossible to get. You can definitely still get use out of it without their services.

gameusPebble wasn't bought by Fitbit. Pebble went bankrupt; then Fitbit bought all of Pebble's assets and promised to keep Pebble's servers running at least until the end of 2017. Fitbit also hired a few of Pebble's software engineers. Pebble is dead as a company, but the platform will continue to function as usual for the next year. There are, however, a number of enthusiasts designing an alternative system to support existing Pebble watches indefinitely.
