mcometaWhen I read "Local post office is just too lazy" I Immediately thought you were from the Philippines (and I was right).
As a fellow Filipino Massdrop customer, here are some tips that can give based on experience:
1. Provincial post offices DONT charge customs duties and just charge you with the standard 100 peso fee. I can confidently say this as all of the drops I've participated in (you can check my profile) are all duty free. If you want to save a few hundred pesos (or even a thousand), find someone who lives in the province and ship your items to their address, then just get it from them when they receive it.
2. If you want to get your item faster, try going to the post office regularly to check if your item is with them. The fastest massdrop item I got was 12 days after massdrop shipped it (the slowest was 28 days, but that was over the christmas season so there were a lot of holidays), so if it has been 12 days already, you can start doing weekly trips to the post office.

neiru37First time I am going to use JAC, but they are not yet shipping so I can't say how much. I will update the K7XX drop when it arrives like I did here. Hehehe! They are the nearest in my place and conveniently inside a mall so I didn't think twice. 168th in the 2nd drop here, I am excited!

FYI the local customs charged me PhP 1300.00 more or less which is about $30 for taxes/customs duties. Not bad for an item originally priced at $200+. Plus here in the Philippines, this still cost at around PhP 12,000.00 or $270. Still a win-win for me.
Not an audiophile but I think everything for me is balanced. But still I have to ask: does this thing need an amplifier or something? Any recommendations?
