TiffanyPoodleslideserious question because i'm not really knowledgeable on anything more than stereo, but aren't you supposed to get that from your center channel in a surround setup?
PigmonkeYSure, if you are having a home theatre ONLY set-up.
But these clearly will suck as stand-alone speakers, like for a stereo listening rig.
If these had a midrange, it wouldn't hurt home theatre, and it would improve their use as a set of listening speaker.
PigmonkeYActually no PigmonkeY. Surround setup, center channel is for voices - or the mixing of the surround program directs voices mostly to the center channel.
Midrange is a totally different thing - it is a frequency range - sort of middle of the range, middle tones. Oddly, voices are mostly in the midrange, but midrange and center channel really have nothing to do with each other.
NO MIDRANGE
