What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

Myself I think it might look somewhat too much with rgb lighting so I'll probably make a riser of aluminium and make it match the case or some other matching color to make BT and the battery fit. BT is a great feature hehe. I'll probably go for cold led lighting as to have some source of light, but not sure if I want cold(lightblue/total white) or warm(lightyellow/'blellow') fit yet. I might wait and see what others come up with first.
I see that there are more than 700 who have joined, there's got to be someone amongst those who will think of something totally awesome and post a tutorial on the subreddit. I'll be going through those to find good mods to my planck and mix it up a little ;)
This guy made his with 'lite-on' rgb's that you can find here

He said that to make these ones work you'd have to customize the pcb with theese at the back
Looks like this finished:

I can only imgaine the feeling of the guy, when finally getting the rgb planck up and running after tedious research and dedication and waiting for all the parts to arrive. (See pictures below for reference)
May many internets come your way friend!
