I*m a bit puzzled - this appears to be the steel nibbed 3776 Balance - I didn't think that model uses Platinum's slip & seal cap?
Edit: Just realised I should be a bit more specific - this appears to be the PTB-5000B - there is another Balance with steel nib, the PGB-3000 / PGB-3000A, the latter being a demonstrator variant.
I have the gold nib version (PTB-10000B - I believe it to be discontinued) which is one of my favourite pens.
AramchekOn that front, a clarification - the text says this is the pen with the black steel nib, but the pictures have either a gold or gold-plated nib. Which is it?
ebzhengI believe this model has a stainless steel nib. An easy way to tell is to look at the shape of the breather hole; Platinum uses a regular round hole for their stainless steel nibs and a heart shaped one for their gold.
ecaoSince my 14K nibbed Platinum (whose nib doesn't react to magnets and is bought from a reputable dealer (I'm trying to resist the temptation of adding "fairly" before reputable)) has a round breather hope, I'm rather hoping you're wrong :-)
