DukeJockeythe turbo mode drop to a lower output based on the battery and the temperature. the truth is that because it is driven by a battery, even a top quality battery, when battery drop on the level of charge, the light output will drop, hope that answered your question about the runtime, if you have any question, feel free to contact the PowerTac office in the US, contact info is on the official powertac website. thanks.

2 hours at maximum (stage 1 and 2) output and 5 hours at the middle settings, not too bad. Glad it's using a 18650 battery, and not a AAA battery carriage. Magnetic charging cable is a neat touch. That bulb is rated for 5000K color temperature at 6V.
Only thing that concerns me is I haven't had good luck with flashlights using a rear switch. Especially one that can possibly burn a hole in your pocket. They tend to go bad regardless of the flashlight I use.

NiteNinjaI am sorry to hear that you had a bad luck with a rear switch flashlight. The reality is that it is a lot harder to accidentally turn on the light by the rear switch.
It is much easier to squeeze on via the side switch considerring how the light is positioned whether it is in your pocket or in your bag.

How would this compare to an Olight baton pro 2000 lumen?
This product is like $40 less than Olight (on Amazon) so I'm a bit inclined to get trigger happy in that respect. Only thing stopping me is the rear switch unless I could be convinced that it's fine.
The features section of the manual doesn't mention a memory mode... can anyone chip in? Would you have to cycle using the side button every time?
Edit: based on a YouTube review, it does resume at the previous mode selected.

Instructions_unclearThe olight does not have the tactical tailcap, it is much easier to operate with an actual tailcap, and use the side switch to adjust settings.
also it is less likely to turn the light on when the on/off switch on the back instead of on the side. so no need to worry about the light being turned on in your bag or pocket.
Yes, the tail cap is fine, it is built for the military and law enforcement with a life time warranty, it is covered for life instead of 5 years as the olight product does.
Once you set the settings to certain mode, it is always memorized until you change it. you don't have to cycle it everytime.

But it has a Strobe mode also, could they be measuring the Strobe mode at 2550?

I like a lot of things about this light - size, tail switch, multiple modes, USB recharging, high ouput, 18650, pocket clip and crowned bezel.
I dislike the same things: magnetic USB recharging isn't a sealed or capped port - it's exposed and would likely get corroded if I'm sweaty or get it wet.

KilsimivIt is treated with anti-corrosion technique, if it is corroded with normal use, it still covered by lifetime warranty.

Does this have a momentary switch that would let me jump directly to the brightness setting I want? I want to be able to hold the button to get the level of brightness I want and have it turn off when I release.

AtticusVulpesYes, it does have a momentary switch, and all settings can be memorized which will allow you to go back to the setting you had before.
The answer for the second question is NO, but the way it works is that you turn on and off the light by the momentory/click on tail cap. Once the light is on via tail cap, you can click the side button to change settings.

Does it have a zoom function? Also how warm/hot does it get if you leave it on for a while?

WineOIt does not have a zoom function.
it will get warm / hot depends on the temperature of the environment, so user need to use common sense to turn it off or dial it down when it is too hot, thanks.

Hi guys, what do you know about it's strobe brightness? I can see the max and various steps, but doesn't say how bright the strobe is set to. Thanks in advance if you have answers.

999bthe strobe brightness it set to the same as the turbo constant on, but because it is a strobe function, the measured brightness by a light meter is not the same, but it is because the way the light meter measure the light output, you feel the same brightness by human eyes.
