The flashlight is extremely bright. But be warned if your on the highest mode, chassis near the bulb will get considerably warm, but don’t worry because it’s meant to do that. The magnetic charging is a plus, and the small form factor is great for carrying in your pocket, or leaving it in the glove box of your truck, as long as it doesn’t get to hot in there.
What’s not to like! It’s not the smallest flashlight around, but for a 18650 light, it’s pretty compact, the Interface is really easy to use, compared to some on the market, with the first click on the tailcap button giving the last option used, then a straightforward click through the options on the tailcap side button, so no convoluted sequences to get to strobe or turbo; strobe is really easy, a press on the side button when the light is off, easy as that.
Charging is just as easy with the magnetic connector, no having to dismantle the torch to get the battery out and put that into a separate charger, easy to charge from any USB-A port on a pocket powerpack, car, wall-wart...
And really, really bright on full power! You can feel heat on your arm from the emitter, looking straight at it is not advised!
I like the plastic belt carrier too, I’ve had many nylon holsters fall apart from wear caused by strike bezels, that can’t happen with the carrier, and it’s a got nice solid grip on the flashlight.
Great price, too!
Bright and small enough to carry in your pocket. I wish the charger was a more common micro USB instead of a proprietary charger. One more thing to carry around. Great especially for the money though.
CammanstlJust to be fair, it is possible to use a micro-USB as well. From the manual:
Micro USB Charging: 1. Using a blunt pointed object(IE: Ball-Point pen tip), carefully insert under rubber portion of magnetic charge port and lift up to remove the magnetic charge port component. 2. Once exposing the waterproof micro USB charge port, insert a standard micro USB charging cable to begin charging. 3. Charging indicator will function exactly the same as if using the magnetic option.
Provides all of the illumination levels anyone should need. Actually like that the on/off and mode settings are separate. Fits nicely in the hand and the knurling, while a tad on the aggressive side, insures that it won't slip.
A little to big for EDC in my estimation, but I bought it to keep in my desk. Body does get warm very quickly at the highest two settings. Magnetic charging cable has a tendency to slip off, but this can be eliminated by working out the right positioning of the flashlight and cable.
Drawbacks are minor and it's just what I bought it for.
I bought this for my dad for fathers day and he absolutely loved it. He used it while hunting and doing tasks around the house at night. He showed it to all of his friends and one of them even bought one as well!
This is great when you're in a situation where there's nothing but darkness around you and you need to bring light to the world so you can navigate through it.
Great light. Super bright. Only set back is I need to use the strobe function at work to alert passerbys of an aircraft engine running. So having to keep the side button pressed for a about 10 minutes is a bit tedious
Good for 3rd shift use. I'm able to carry on a lanyard for instant use.
The magnetic charger holds securely and you can remove it to use a standard micro USB charger.
I work 3rd shift and have yet to have it run out of juice overnight.
This is a much more portable solution than the full size Pelican 8060 which is just to much for indoor use.
