In the world of tactical folders, the Proelia name carries weight. The TX050 is a great example of why. This full-sized flipper is ergonomically shaped at every turn, from the tip to the pommel. Its blade, a thick drop-point, is crafted from S35VN steel for excellent edge retention. For the handle, you’ll have two options: G-10 or carbon fiber, each of which is accented with blue-anodized hardware. Inside the scales are sturdy liners to keep the blade firmly open when you put the knife to work. As it rides on ball bearings, the blade opens and closes smoothly, with little effort.
Note: At checkout, choose a G-10 (base price) or carbon fiber (+ $10) handle. Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we can only ship this knife to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (pioneer of the integral frame lock), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process known as Crucible Powdered Metallurgy, which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
