I really hope they make one of these with a toslink in some day.
What was the final price for this one? Was it 420?
Has anyone had a problem receiving the wrong item from Massdrop? I ordered the PS Spout but they sent a PS Perfectwave power cord. Since both are the PS brand I guess it's a case of grabbing the wrong thing from the shelf without checking what it actually was. Mistakes happen I guess (although I never had this happen the million times I ordered from Amazon.) Only way I can figure out how to contact them was through the help center, but it's been four days and all I've heard was the initial robo reply. At this point I suppose the only thing I can do is see if PayPal can help get my money back. Any advice? Know of any other way to contact them? This was the first purchase I made on Massdrop and it really has disappointed me.

Seriously? I can understand one mistake, but that's nuts.

received a power cable instead of my sprout yesterday from massdrop. I hit up support waiting to hear back. this is the 3rd drop i've participated in and 2 out of the 3 had issues.
I'd be all over this if the output extended a little lower and it didn't have the 7db boost at 70Htz.
Why no 230v option available? I need 230v.
Wondering if headphone jack is good (comparable to schiit or o2+dac)? Planning to use as a headphone amp/dac. Also on bluetooth, can I connect to two bluetooth headphones? Please help..
Thanks...
Exciting news group! We’re happy to report that all of the orders have been shipped out and are now on the way to you! Please allow 24-48 hours for tracking to get into the shipper's system and start updating.

We have some great news everyone. This drop is currently way ahead of schedule, as we have already received the bulk shipment. All that’s left is to break the order down and prepare your individual orders for shipment. We are aiming to get everything out the door within the next two days. Once everything is shipped, tracking confirmation emails will follow.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 11/24 or sooner if something comes up.
Great news group! We placed the order shortly after the drop ended and the vendor has let us know that it's already been picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 11/19. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 11/19 or sooner if something comes up.
Seems over priced for its specs imo
I bought this unit in the last round when they did offered the 220V version. It came with a monster size power cable. I have this unit hooked up to my dynaudio excite x16 (bought used) with a pair of speaker stands. I have an old and yet small Dell Latitude laptop that is too slow to run anything useful but I have finally found that I can set this up for Foobar and have the music pump out via ASIO: PS Audio USB driver device. I setup my Android to control the foobar player.
All up it costs me about $1000US + an obsolete laptop and the music coming out of the speaker when playing Flac file is very good.
Just released issue of Hi-End audio magazine TAS has a nice review of little Sprout amp http://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/ps-audio-sprout/
Not really a good deal on this. It's what it sells for everywhere.

Whole 4%?

they recently dropped MSRP, they were $899 I believe...
I'm a little sad I bought it at this price... but you know what?
I've had the unit long enough where I can say I used up the difference in cost.
Love the form factor.
This amp has been great for me. My only real complaint is that the pot really cuts out on the left channel on the first four clicks. It's only an issue when I'm playing Pandora through my Roku. For some reason the output level is extremely high with Pandora and requires me to turn the volume knob way down. But this will also be an issue with any other high level input I play through my amp. Probably not an issue on every one of these amps, but if you get a pot like this, it's a hassle.
Otherwise, I love this amp. It sounds great.
It's not as good of a deal now that the retail price has gone down to $500, but still a good deal if the nice power cord is still thrown in and the drop hits the lowest price.
Can Massdrop confirm if the upgraded cord is still included? Thanks.
K.T.N
At this lower price point I don't think PS Audio would include the upgraded power cord. It's a very competitive price considering other similar offerings in a small integrated amps market. Also, it would mean PS Audio (and Massdrop) shifted previous group buy purchasers and own us a refund.
I noticed jds labs lowered its amps/dac combos as well industry shake up lower prices :D YAH
PS Audio has dropped the price to $499 msrp...
I thought $499 was a deal until I saw that Amazon has it for this price now (http://amzn.to/1jBpWAD). Kind of diminishes the value of buying from Massdrop, doesn't it? (Yes, prices change over time, it just seems to have happened so soon after the drop). Perhaps you should update the MSRP value to reflect this?
One benefit, however, was the bonus high quality AC power cable (http://www.psaudio.com/products/ac-power-cable/) (a $189 value) that was added to the drop. I see the photo of that power cable in the description here; does that mean that it's included in this bazaar sale?

How do you hook a sub up to this? Or use a sub with it? I have some speakers but they have no low or midrange so i need to pair them with a sub
sturok
It's a 2.0 set up, but there might be a work around.
You're only going to be able to try a powered sub with this.
In order to do that I'd suggest you start with finding a powered sub with RCA connections. Then get some banana plugs that can stack one on another like the Monoprice JX-74052's.
Go from the Sprout to the sub (RCA connector).
Looks like PS Audio has changed the official price to $499. I bought one on the drop for that and it seems like a good deal at that price.

Many PS Audio dealers in US and Amazon.com now sell Sprout for $499. Teac USA have also lowered prices on AI-501DA and AI-301DA amps... guess the competition is strong in this sector. Yes, Sprout is a good value for the price, especially considering we've got AC-3 power cable with it.
For anyone interested... US audio dealer Music Direct just dropped the price on Sprout to $500. I think this is a factory authorized sale (clearance?) since PS Audio imposes strict MAP control on its products. http://www.musicdirect.com/p-251345-ps-audio-sprout-integrated-amp.aspx
I took the unit to work (noiser environment) and re-tested the humming noise. It is softer and not noticeable at normal listening volume. The humming is not due to grounding issue as the unit is running solo. It is louder with high volume but not distracting. It is much louder selecting the analog channel and as expected very noticeable with vinyl. I am happy with it so far and will see how it goes with my dynaudio excite x16 when it arrived.
There is a low humming noise when I set it up. Is it normal? What can I do to stop this?

I have read that it is due to ground loop but how can this be when there is only one power supply for the unit. My understanding is when there are more than one power supplies, one for the amp and another for a preamp for example which may have a slight voltage dfference in the earth wires. The voltage difference create a slight voltage loop through the wires and hence the humming noise.

I'm sorry , what can I say? In my opinion if you return this unit , you will not miss much. It's okay, not so great like best thing ever made, my other setup sounds 1,000 times better with Onkyo A-9050

I have received mine today in Melbourne, Australia. The sound is great with my headphone. I don't have good pair of speaker to pair with it yet. Thank you for the Australian adapter but unfortunately I was not able to power up the Sprout with it. I use my other adapter with no problem. I agree that he casing is not what you called high quality. It is ok though and I am happy for the sound quality so far. Happy father's day every one in Australia! I have received my gift today :)
Also received and hooked up my sprout today. I have been planning on using this as a desktop rig and I couldn't be more impressed. While I understand some previous comments on build quality, I feel that they might be a bit picky for a product in the price range that the drop went for. While the speaker terminals aren't top quality for lots of use, Banana plugs hold tight and I don't see meddling around too much. At this price point I think you cant do better for an integrated amp (DAC, amp, headphone amp, bluetooth).

Received mine today along with power cable. Looks beautiful. Will plug it in after work.

Maybe it's a little late to ask, but is this the 220v version? Since I read that there are two versions and I could not use the 110v version here in Indonesia.

In checkout session, you can choose the 110v/220v option
