Named for its wide, scooped blade, the QSP Pelican may not be able to fly, but it can certainly elevate your everyday carry. The blade is made from S35VN, arguably the best commercial steel on the market Read More
This absolutely an awesome knife, unfortunately not for large sized hands. Note the thumb jimping placement is meant for choil use. Unfortunately, my fingers are too big to use it safely. If I put pressure on that choil I will get bit. I actually picked this knife up directly from blade HQ when I was visiting SLC so I was able to handle the knife and knew this coming in but I bought it anyway because I’m a knife nut and a Voxnaes fan boy.
AStitchesLOL! I heard there was this cool website that has some good deals on head phones, especially colabs (Hmmmm.....can't think of it right now....). Yes....I did. I did call you special...Special is not always bad....
And my stupid curiosity got the better of me. This will never go away....and I was just about to head to sleep too! Thanks Man!
LingouserThe one in this pic was used pretty extensively by me before it was photographed. I cleaned the blade so it looks new, but you can see the micarta handle gets darker with use.
S35VN isn't arguably "the best commercial steel on the market". It's chosen for economic reasons, frankly.
Say something like this, if you gotta argue something:
S35VN is one of an elite group of steel alloys informally known as 'super steels' in the knife community. A favorite of modern knifemakers, S35VN is recognized for its ability to keep a sharp edge, resistance to chipping, cracking, bending and staining, and overall ease of sharpening, at a cost that arguably makes it the best 'bang for the buck' super steel available in the consumer market today.
All of this is fine and well, but they need to provide a little more information. It's been over a week since this was supposed to ship and all we have is "unexpected delay". So no progress has been made at all?
I ordered a Spyderco Endura with SG steel. Waited almost a year for it to arrive. That's probably one of the most extreme cases tho. I don't mind the wait but it bothers some people.
