I am really impressed with the RapidX Ferrino chair. I got mine in blue and initial impressions are very positive:
- Easy Assembly & Instructions - Firm seating cushion - Adjustable wrist rests (Up/Down, Forward/Backward, Rotate) - Nicely padded shoulder bolsterings
As a package the Ferrino is a solid chair, that gives the basics and does not feel cheap. The quilted pattern is very nice and the stitching is actually real and tight. The sitting surfaces are padded firmly and provide great support. I have no problems sitting in this chair for hours.
My only qualm is that the wrist rests are hard soft-touch material, it does not have enough cushion period, and is very close to hard plastic.
Overall the RapidX Ferrino is a great entry into a gaming chair and for the Massdrop price, its a great deal.

Its a great chair, for the price I got more features and comfort when I need it. I have gone through a ton of office chairs in the $80 range and lower, and they all gave me back aches. The thing that sold me was that it was modeled after racing seats, and since I am familiar with that style of seating in my own car, I snapped it up. When I got the chair, I sat through various long hours of working from home and was not fatigued. As a first time buyer of a "gaming-chair" I am unable to compare my comfort level with other gaming-chairs. Comparing to common office chairs in the $20-$80 range, the comfort level of this chair exceeds that of those chairs after some breaking in the cushions.

It is a good chair. I got the regular red and black chair though the lumbar support is a little to much for me. I might not be to big for some people but for me it stuck out too much and it’s a little uncomfortable. I wish they would send the chair with 2 lumber support cushions, One that didn’t come out so much. The neck cushion is really ferm I wish my head could sink into the cushion but it’s way too firm for that. If you use the neck and lumbar cushions at the same time, the cushions don’t let your back touch the back of the chair because of how much the coushions stick out wich feels weird and makes the chair a little uncomfortable. those problems can be fixed by buying new cushions though. The bottom does not really breathe so butt sweat is a common occurrenc. For $170 it’s a good chair though but I would not pay more for it.

We really love them! I picked up two so that my wife and I would have matching gaming chairs in our computer room, and we are both enjoying them greatly. Previously we had been using a random selection of chairs from office stores and Ikea, and these are drastically better. They have much more adjustability and the "bucket seat" quality really cradles your body well and is comfortable. I do find that they are more firm than I was expecting, but definitely not uncomfortable. The color option we chose - black and white - looks perfect in our room.

Came with a rip. No customer support from Massdrop and no support from Ferrino, despite multiple emails. The chair is uncomfortable, pushing my shoulders forwards. The arm rests don't slide back far enough. The chair doesn't lower enough. Terribly disappointed.

No. That would be ridiculous.

Also I withdrew the credit card dispute. Like I said, Massdrop and Ferrino resolved this in a satisfactory way.

Got the XL variant. Seat is flat and hard, and the back is concave which offers no lumbar support by default. Lumbar pillow is way too thick and narrow. You're better off using a small thin pillow for lumbar. A cheap $10 memory foam lumbar pillow is better. I intend to stuff both the seat with some soft concave foam and the back with some soft convex foam when I get the chance... just $2-$4 more foam and it could've been perfect. And why "racing" seats? Why not just car seats? Those are infinitely more comfortable than any office chair I've ever tried. There's also a support bar running straight across the bottom of the back that has zero flex or padding... this is a tailbone killer without the lumbar pillow to force you away from it. Frankly the Mass Drop Task Chair was more comfortable in all respects with the exception of the sides of the seat. The task chair would lean back almost flat with the seat without using the locking arm for the seat back angle. The seat bounces in a weird way as it rocks back. The lock for tilt sometimes sticks and won't release without getting off and releasing the rocking tension. About the only thing I really like is how big the casters are allowing for smoother rolling on carpet. Ultimately there are better chairs; by far. Even at this price point. I'll never get another "racing seat" chair again, and I wish MassDrop had a return policy. I may never shop here again unless they get one... feels like an "as-is" clearance dump now.

For reference - I'm 5'11 and 155lbs and I spend 12+ hours a day in a chair. This is my review after 3 months. I have since discontinued the use of this chair. I saw all these 5 star reviews and figured what the hell, for $150 I'll take a gamble. I'm sorry I did. This chair is ABSOLUTELY horrible. This chair might be fine for some occasional sitting, but to anyone that spends 8+ hours a day in a chair AVOID THIS ONE LIKE THE PLAGUE. No amount of tinkering can get this chair to comfortable state. Cons:
  • The flat back of this chair really constricts your neck movement. Your neck will become incredibly stiff after a couple hours.
  • The dimensions of this chair cause your chest to sink into the chair leading to serious lumbar issues.
  • The fabric is terrible, the seat started rippling after a month of use.
  • The arm rests are hard as a rock, almost no give. Your elbows will hate life.
  • The foam is VERY stiff. Unless you weight 200lbs+ you will not find much cushion.
  • The included lumbar and neck pillows are a joke as another reviewer commented. They are hard as a rock.
  • The hardware needs loctite, the side mounting screws WILL back out over time leading to back wobble.
The only positives I can give about this chair (and it's not even the chair) is that the shipping was very quick going from coast to coast and the color scheme is subtle. If you spend any serious amount of time in a chair - DO NOT GET THE RAPIDX FERRINO. My $120 Staples chair offers much more comfort.

My chair arrived with a rip, contacted support rightaway, its been a week now and they haven’t solve the issue for me yet. Foam showed wearing since day 1. Both pillows are really hard, that’s why I took it out. There are barely any cushioning in this chair. Update 1: got contacted after a week, they sent out the replacement. If you're thinking about getting this chair, the price will likely drop soon. I got it for $160 2 weeks ago, now it's $150. You get what you pay for, this thing may look like it's as nice as a DxRacer or an AKracing, but the quality is not even close Update 2: got the replacement, everything is fine now. Update 3: Spring on the chair started to make squeeking noise, going to contact RapidX Customer Support again

GogamerI had to contact them, then wait 5 days for a reply. If I didn't make the other comment, it would probably take longer.

Did not hold up
Had a lot of long sessions, and the chair was never uncomfortable.... But it was never really comfortable either. It started to fall apart after year 2. Also the included "pillow" could identify as a weapon.
