This is almost certainly a polycarbonate lens.

Luxottica bought Ray-Ban in 1999. Luxottica is a skeevy company that has driven brands like Ray-Ban and Oakley from being high-end good products to status symbol brands. If you want a good pair of sunglasses these days, look in to Maui Jim or Alpha Industries. They'll still have glass lenses and be well manufactured, plus you're not supporting Luxottica.

Thanks... my question is whether these are actual glass or poly lenses. The G15 has been a glass lens... but it looks like this design may not support the extra weight, thus...has Ray Ban begun to migrate the G15 moniker to poly lenses?

Is this a glass lens? I believe the G15 is normally... but given this design, it seems more like a poly lens. Any help on this is appreciated!
