Anyone know how to update a shipping address before the oct 11th date? My duty station is changing between now and then.
Son of a bitch! I was going to get in on this drop but I fell asleep. I only noticed it earlier today, er...yesterday, I guess, a few hours before it closed. Figured I'd have dinner, handle a few small things, then join. And instead I dozed off in chair reading nook. God, getting old sucks.
Wish this was a clicky pen. A cap that I have to keep track of multiple times a day doesn’t work for my use. I’m signing at least 10-20 items an hour. A capped pen in this instance just isn’t convenient or efficient. 😕
Thoughts on TSA and this pen?

I got a dark grey color from last drop very high quality unlike the rike thor4s. I edc it everyday and carry it everywhere I go. I am thinking of jump back on for a blue color, if my wife let me...
Iam_dannybear
I agree, tried it out again with Rike and this time they got the anodizing right. Screw cap is a little squeaky, but will see with some use. Cosmetically and writing wise, it's a good pen.
Now to order the whistle in gold and blue to complete the EDC set (until they produce a flashlight)...
>tactical pen
2 days past expected ship date and other members have already received theirs. What's up @massdrop
Just got my pen today. Fit and finish is phenomenal. Definitely one of the nicer Titanium pens I've held for the money. It's got a nice weight to it but carries nicely in the pocket. I know a lot of people were dogging on the cutout and I'm not a huge fan of it either but I don't really plan on carrying this thing when I'm camping or swimming etc so it shouldn't be an issue. It's a minor fault to look over for a pen of this quality at this price. I got the dark gray color, I like something a little more traditional than the crazy bright colors (although they definitely look cool). It will definitely be replacing my uzi tactical pen as my daily carry.

I wonder if it has to do with color selection? Got the dark gray. Which I would imagine is probably less popular. I’d think most people would order something colorful.
danhorntx
Probably. I'm not too worried as it's expected ship date is tomorrow and I live international.
Love the design EXCEPT - why do I want to see my refill? Why do I want dirt, water, etc. inside my pen? Love the colors and it's a great price point, but that cutout. Tactically vulnerable. Hard pass. Too bad.
Just ordered 2 of these puppies, a sexy blue and a gold/green to match my thor 4 😍
Virtually all tactical pens use Parker refills. Parker refills write terribly. I wish companies would use Pilot g2 refills which are easily the best writing refills.
TheRaven
Have you tried a Parker Jell refill? They're not bad. The better generic refills are made by Monte Verde and Schmidt--both available on Amazon.
TheRaven
Replace that with a Fisher equivalent. I do that for Cross and Parker.
"Tactically gaudy" - repel and horrify your enemies! The pictured pen looks like it comes from a Micronauts set.
So does it have a knife also? Or just a pen and glassbreaker?
Cwerthen
Pen/glassbreaker, no knife.
Does it post?

Maybe it's Maybelline.

As in Mascara? Say, that's a good idea for a drop: Tactical Mascara!!! Lets run it up the flagpole and see who salutes ;- )
What is the purpose of the carbide striker tip?
Protonus
Escaping from a car by breaking the window glass. If you drive into deep water -- which happens, look it up -- you can use it to escape even if water pressure is holding the door shut and disabling the roll-down windows.

striking carbides?
I love the idea of massdrop, all top notch quality products. The problem is They are all way too expensive still. I can find and buy every single product for half the price, most just on ebay alone. This is a problem that needs to be addressed. Realizing, Massdrop is in it for profit too, but, they don't have to make so much is my point. I am disabled on fixed income and although I love almost every product I simply don't have that much to spend. As an example I bought the exact same belt offered here for 14.99 with free shipping. I love this place, but price point is a big deal. And if u are going to mass drop it means you should get a huge discount and although they are showing that you are, we are not. Not when you can buy same product elsewhere for less. Simply not true. This needs to be addressed for everyone and fixed. Profit is one thing, truth is another. Don

LOL! 🤣 I’m laughing hysterically at how someone‘s gripe about the lack of deals here at MD has turned into a flame war that the OP didn’t even participate in.
Ray, while you’ve had your own ‘stir the pot’ trolling tendencies, especially with product you consider childish, you do make a good point that purchase history should make a difference to the discussions. If that was important then MD would have restricted the forums to verified purchasers only. But they haven’. Touché.
At the same time, I‘m leaning more towards the ‘Chill out dlbott’ crowd. It’s nowhere near as bad as they makes it out to be.
Thanks for the entertaining thread though guys. 🤓

Well it's an old thread, but best as I can recall, I was defending one person's right to criticize MD for their prices, while at the same time sticking up for MD for being a pretty good place to buy stuff, from time to time. However, MD also comes up with some pretty lame items now and then (like the stupid pen above), and that was really what my point was here, (and elsewhere when I've said it). As for the two dimwits above, they're just part of the entertainment one can expect in any random gathering of our happy little MD family.
Now, back to the pricing issue: I'm happy to note for the record that I just saved $110 on my drop purchase compared to Amazon's price for the identical item! That doesn't happen often, but it's worth mentioning when it does.
Regarding purchase history making a difference, I'm not sure I follow you? I don't say it does or doesn't qualify someone's opinion, per se, nor do I care how many drops or even comments a person has made previously--their points can be just as valid (or invalid) regardless of those numbers. What I have noticed is that a person's history (drops/polls/comments) can provide some insight to the individual--their interests, state of mind, personality complexes, presence of mental health issues, political affiliations, tendencies toward homophobia, misogyny or racism, for instance. In short, the things they're most likely to omit from their bios. And aren't these the sorts of things that can help us all get to know and understand one another as we use this forum to buy more stuff, and become better human beings in the process? I think so!
What sort of ink refills does it take?
mekros
Parker type
mhli
Any parker refill?
To bad there is no black wash finish available in this drop.
Eraursls84
The dark gray is pretty damn close to a black wash.
So what good does the O ring do, air tight seal?

“The cap is O-ring sealed for a tight hold.”
HarrySmith
Gives friction to keep cap from working it's way off unintentionally.
the body seems to be open and cartridge visible/exposed...wouldn't that cause risk for water and other debris/dust to easily get inside? or am I missing something?
MartinOfRivia
If you use a fisher space pen refill (or really any other pressurized cartridge) you really don’t have to worry about water
MartinOfRivia
Don’t take it swimming.
