This is $199.99 on Amazon, yes this exact model the BL800. If you care to save $20 and wait a month for it go ahead.
I'll just be sour with MassDrop for such blatantly deceptive marketing.

JhawinsAgain, we are listing the MSRP price for this drop at $499.99 which is accurate. The 64% off is from the MSRP not competition pricing.

JhawinsI get that your not happy with the discount Massdrop can offer, but whats so "blatantly deceptive" about their marketing?

IndicuxSee the comment at the top of this thread. It's entirely arbitrary.
I can sell water for $1 and say it usually costs $19 and you wouldn't call that deceptive?

JhawinsI wouldn't call that "blatantly deceptive", it's really just "Blatantly Advertised". Deceptive would imply Massdrop is trying to trick you into buying it, an example of "deceptive advertisement" would be if you were to sell me a water for 19$, but the MSRP was only 1$ and you hid that information from me.
The MSRP pricing is what the manufacturer thinks this product is worth. In your example, the water has an assumed value of 19$ by the MFG, but the sale value is set by you for $1. Knowing the difference, puts me the buyer at an advantage to better negotiate and make a more educated decision.
Also, there is nothing arbitrary about the top comment there is just a total lack of understanding about MSRP pricing. Think of it like buying a new car, the tag will say one price, but you negotiate with the sales men about the price you think its valued at. Rollibot says their product is worth 499.99, Massdrop is saying they can sell it to you for 179.99.

IndicuxIf you cock your head to the side and set up the right context it can look like plenty of different things.
In one common perspective it is deceptive. </

JhawinsYou really don't understand, Massdrop is providing the context for you with the MSRP. That's the point.
It literally doesn't meet the definition of deceptive. They would have to be hiding something from you for it to be deceptive. Your problem isn't with Massdrop as they did not make this product, they only sell it for cheaper then what the MFG says its worth.
The MFG set the MSRP at 499.99.
Amazon is telling you its currently worth 199.99 and was worth 249.99 saving you 50$.
Massdrop is telling you its only worth 179.99 and that the MFG says it's worth 499.99.
So where's the deception? I think you need to redirect your salt.

JhawinsYou do understand MD has no control over the MSRP right - take it up with the manufacturer buddy, or just chill out and worry about literally anything else because that would be something that matters more than this.
