Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Massdrop has the MSRP listed as $795. The link thru https://www.pcmag.com/review/345698/santa-cruz-audio-sc1000 had the MSRP listed at $1,150. Yet your own website https://santacruzaudio.com/collections/frontpage/products/sc1000 has the MSRP listed at $585. This is obviously not a Massdrop-exclusive issue on pricing discrepancy (nor likely their fault in any way).
I am very turned off personally to the idea of a 'floating msrp' that ends up changing so frequently and being falsely inflated to give the appearance of a larger discount being given etc. I can't begin to express my confusion as well as frustration with companies that do this. I perhaps would redact my earlier comment about the company and their dedication to the consumer but I have zero interaction personally with them yet beyond the interactions I've witnessed in this thread.
Buyer beware of a company that seems to be anything but transparent with its potential customers.
I have not yet seen or heard this product in person nor have I dealt with their customer service and don't have any experience with their quality control etc. These might just be the bees knees. But come on now SantaCruzAudio! Hopefully I'm just jumping the gun on this and misinterpreting the situation but I would like to see this ambiguous MSRP issue resolved, whether thats simply by clarifying what I have mistakenly surmised, or by making an effort to align the pricing info across any and all sales platforms to be transparent and honest for the customer and their experience.
Thanks in advance for any clarification etc!
