Is there an equivalent automatic version to this watch? I've been searching for a Seiko chronograph that's 40mm but automatic/manual but haven't found anything that look similar to this one.
Does the chron record more than one hour? Thx!
Markivmb
Yes it records 12 hours
Fastest massdrop package I've ever gotten, took only two and a half weeks from purchase date (I also bought it several days before the drop ended and am not located in the US)!

Looking good! My first above-5-dollar-watch and I'm liking it so far.

Still going strong! It's still my only watch and with daily wear it still looks as good as new. I use the chronograph every day when I make tea and the watch keeps pretty good time barely loosing anything even with months of use.

is there any warranty>
MASSDROP: Please give the band length in the description of you watch drops.
Whoa, who changed the website font and how many meetings did that take?
Does this have the mecha quartz movement?
Thedonn007
No. The chrono seconds hand does move at 5 steps per second as I remember. Nearly as smooth as many mechanical movements, less so than an Accutron II or Precisionist. But of course that is only when running the chrono and draining the battery at maximum rate.

Thanks, I have a Bulova Moon Watch, so the watches that your referenced are a good comparison for me.
I've received my order today, which included two SNDC33P1 (black version). Well, both watches are ok... too bad, however, that one of the boxes is missing the instruction manual! :-/ It wouldn't have been a big deal if the watches were for personal use... but I've bought them as gifts for two different persons and now I'm annoyed that one box is packed just with the warranty booklet but no instruction manual!
Is there a way to get the missing manual?
$95 on Amazon... $5 isn't worth waiting an extra month for delivery.

Very much agree; the tan faced version selling for 99 at Amazon might however be worth if for some folks that are extrodinaristremly tight on coin and do not mind waiting. Overall however, this does not appear to be a screaming deal to me. Moreover, given the hassles associated w/returns if one were to receive a possible dud, the thought of navigating the hassles just to save a few bucks gives me an ulcer just thinking about it when compared to returns through Amazon. This drop is simply dead on arrival and I am actually in a market for one as a birthday present.

I found it for 173 on Amazon. When was this ?
How long is the warranty?
Quartz movement. *sigh*

There is absolutely nothing "wrong" with a quartz movement. And this Seiko would be a great entry point for watches. A lot of watch collections get started with a nice quartz, and this is a good one, no question.
Not a chronograph
No description re lower complication. 12 hour? Why the 15, 30, 45 indices?
Okanaganguy
It actually times the elapsed hours and minutes on that subdial. The little middle subdial is running seconds, and the main hand is chronograph seconds.
I just ordered this. Wouldn't mind seeing a drop for the Ocean Blue Premium (or any other).

How's it wear? Looks nice
StainlessOnly
Looks and feels very nice.
Does Seiko not put their vk64 Mecha-quartz moments into their own watches? If this had it, I would have jumped on it in an instant.
Massdrop needs to bring in more 40mm or less mech or Mecha quartz chronos that don't cost a billion dollars
Farrago
Hi Farrago,
Seiko does indeed use the Mecha-Quartz in it's own SSB line. The name for the Seiko MQ movements is 6T63 should you want to look it up.
Cheers!
This looks very much like the Montblanc watch I was wanting to get, with a much more attractive price tag. Great timing!
