Evidenced by the markings on the dial and bezel, the Seiko Flightmaster SND is chock-full of function. In addition to telling the time, it features a chronograph, a bi-directional rotating computer bezel, and a date window—all that in a 42-millimeter case, too Read More

I will not buy a seiko watch again, bought one about a year and a half ago from md and the small hands fell off. seiko wanted more than i paid for the watch to fix it. Junk!
The new style Seiko Flightmaster is a shadow of the original. Lacking 200m water resistance, dome crystal and sporting mediocure dial layout. Honestly, this new version appears to be a Seiko 5 Quartz want-to-be Flighty.
charles8642I agree with you (as an owner of the first model SNA411) but i paid substantially more when the first one came out, i feel like the price on this one reflects the stuff you lose out on.
I have the SND.
It is an absolutely great tool watch that I take to the gym or anywhere active. Fantastic do-it-all watch that is slim and light enough to be put on a NATO. It basically has everything you'd need in a watch: The bezel is both a compass and a slide rule (slide rule is actually super handy once you learn how to use it), the chronograph times up to 12 hours and to the accuracy of 10ths of a second. It is also lumed to the gills and 100m water resistant. Moreover, although I don't buy watches for other people this watch has gotten quite a few compliments.
Only issue is the crown is a little stiff when trying to make it click to the time-setting position but since it's an accurate quartz movement this is rarely an issue.
If you appreciate the tooliness of the SNA but aren't a fan of a particular aspect of the design or simply don't want to pay that much for a quartz piece, this wristwatch is amazing. It's my go-to quartz.
CabriobeeetleNo, and I don't plan to either. I have watches that blow the skx009 out of the water from the movement to the case and down to the bracelet. My original comment stands.
