At nearly 52 millimeters wide, the Seiko Prospex SRPA Scuba watch is large and in charge. But it’s got plenty of function to warrant the sizeable case. To start, it meets ISO standards and is part of Seiko’s partnership with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors). It also has an easy-to-read—and easy-to-turn—bezel with large white markings to keep track of elapsed time underwater or on the move. Chunky indexes line the dial, with triangular shapes at the cardinal hours for maximum legibility. Each index, along with the hands, is coated with LumiBrite to enhance visibility. As far as materials, the watch is made with a stainless steel and ceramic combination case for durability. Couple that with the Hardlex crystal and screw-down crown and you’ve got a timepiece that’s ready for depths of up to 200 meters.
