When I finally chose which color I wanted my Mako II to be, this came. Now I don't know whether I should get this Seiko or the Orient, thoughts?

CallMeJokerThe Mako II is able to be hand wound and has a hacking seconds hand, so if either of those features are important to you, it should make the choice easier. This watch needs to be worn or put into a winder to stay functional.
Also the Mako wears slightly smaller so it looks better if you're going to wear it with dressier clothes. This looks more like a tool watch, so depending on your taste might not look as good with something like business casual clothes.
Finally, the Mako has double the depth rating of this one. The ratings are unintuitive and 100 / 200 m ratings don't actually mean you can take it to those depths. If you plan to actually take it diving, I'd recommend the Mako. If you're just taking it to the beach or the pool both are fine.
Aesthetically I like this watch better, but the Mako and Ray II are better built, more comparable to the Seiko SKX series.
