After getting in touch with Shuron directly, this pair of shades with poly-carbonate lenses will cost $155.00 with $14.95 shipping. Why are they listed here with an MSRP of $220.00?
edit: Letter I received from Shuron directly (Victor Green) -
Hello Rylan,
Thanks for the interest in our frames. The frames are $155 with high quality, polarized, plastic lenses. The main polarized and best sun blocking colors are Brown, Gray and Green/Gray. FedEx 2-3 day shipping is $14.95 and 1-day is $35. If you are looking for true glass, polarized, non-prescription lenses, the cost is $235. The glass lenses will be the most scratch resistant, will be heavier and are more "Old School." If you drop the frames, the glass lenses can chip or shatter when they hit hard surfaces. Do you know your sizing? The general sizing can be broken down into - small, medium, large, XL and XXL.
We can add virtually any color of exterior mirrored coating to the lenses for $70 additional. So you can look through one of the polarized color lenses and give an outwards appearance of Silver, Blue, Orange, Green, etc. mirrored coating.
If you are looking for prescription sunglass lenses or clear lenses, please email your values for a quote.
To order we would need to know what you would like to do and then - Visa or MC # with the expiration date and the billing/shipping addresses. You can email the info. or call 800-242-3636 Monday-Friday 9-5 Eastern time. Our secure location for sending credit info. is https://secure.shuron.com/contact.htm . The entire form is secure and the info. that is entered in the “Comments” section arrives to us in encrypted form.
Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks.
Regards,
Vic

rylancatesInteresting. $220 is the MSRP I was given from the manufacturer. It's also seen on other sites.

IanAndersonSo are these the $155 plastic lenses version or the $235 glass version? I'm a bit confused now.

I hate to be that guy but I've been wearing Shuron glasses for the past 8 years. I'm wearing the Freeway frames but as regular glasses as I type this. This isn't a deal. The frames are $95 when I buy them directly from Shuron. I got them to put my prescription in them and the frames for $250.

ValvraveIf you got the 50mm they would be 1mm smaller across your face. 52 would be 3mm bigger.

was on a previous drop - would recommend. i personally have the fade in 52 which is just the slightest smaller than i'd like but i can work with it. at $99.99, that's a better deal than i originally paid for.

Can you replace lenses with prescription ones

FareesYou could, but you'd be much better off just buying the frame for $59. You'd also have a better selection of sizes and colors.

BradSYep, agreed. You could, but if you only want the frames then it would be cheaper to buy those individually.

What's the bridge size on the 50 mm vs the 52 mm? Are they both 22 mm or are the bigger ones 24mm?

One of my hinges is a little loose and causes the arm to wobble. From what I can tell the specific part that is loose is the metal base that is set in the plastic of the frames as shown in the photo. Anyone know a fix for this? Is there something I can tighten?

voo.hooI have had this happen on several sets of glasses, a gentle tap to the pin head you see in the photo usually fixes it set the small front bar ( opposite side of the pin / rivet head) and a small tap or two with a small hammer or similar. A good jeweler can do it for you.
