What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

I don't know how long your "to this day" is, but the main reason you're having a hard time finding and why manufacturers neglect Razer and Corsair is because they have their LEDs north/top, so the front legends won't shine very well, especially if the switch housing isn't clear/transparent. I've tried it on my Corsair, doesn't shine well, even though mine has Cherry's RGB/clear housing, even more so is that Corsair's keyboards uses a floating design so the light will leak out giving it less shine. Tried it on my Razer, doesn't shine well either, even though they have larger LEDs and uses a closed design and not floating like Corsair. Front backlit legends will only work well with keyboards that have their LEDs south/bottom. The rest, I'll let you figure that out. If you think the photos in the description page shows backlighting well, then its not like that in actual environment conditions unless you're in a dim room to dark room. Not deterring you here, just merely letting you know. As you desire them so much, as said, Good Luck.
Obviously you're not paying attention. Don't know what set you have but not gonna go into the different factors with you, if yours seems fine and works in your view, thats you. Of course it'll work fine, it shines, but as I stated, not well on keyboards with LEDs mounted north.
I've already explained the very slim chance for corsair and razer compatibility. Again, good luck with your continued wait - End of.
