I'm a Simpson Emperor user. I like the e2's Super Badger bristles, its "just right" backbone and especially its nice handle, much longer and more controllable than the Chubby, and you won't be constantly rinsing your fingers.
The Emperor is Simpson's legacy flagship and to me it is still their best.
I await the Emperor drop. Shave with tradition.

I love Simpson Chubby brushes, had 3 of the Chubby 3's. Why 3? Each one eventually shedded badly
if you like big badger knots but don't care for big price tags that come with say the Simpson line, check out, no, make that *buy* the $40 badger brush Stirling Soap Company sells. Love mine, but admittedly, the Chubby Simpson will always be revered by me, but not the price tag

Just noticed West Coast Shaving has Simpson brushes at 20% discount until July 9, so you could snag a Chubby 2 for $142.40 with free shipping if you hurry.

Please stop saying that it is made in England. It isn't.

Earlier Simpsons brushes that were made in Somerset, England had "Handmade in England" on them but when Simpsons were bought out by Vulfix & production moved offshore to the Isle of Man they were changed to "Made in Great Britain". Simpsons have a fascinating history, including when during WW2, Mr Simpson realised that the factory ( and the massive stock they held ) in Clapham, South London was very vulnerable to bombing & moved it all to Somerset. The company started production in 1919 in East London.

A great brush that will last a lifetime. This same brush is more expensive through many of the shaving supply vendors with their retail close to the MSRP posted here. However, the same brush is priced cheaper ($132) on Amazon with free shipping for Prime members.

Great news, group! We placed the order shortly after the drop ended and the vendor has let us know that it's already been picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 1/21. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 1/24 or sooner if something comes up.

I can't talk about brushes much as I have only had one, it claims to be badger but was either 7$ or 12$... so far, it has lasted me about half a year, and as its main purpose is to make and apply lather from shaving soap, it does its job, and it does it well.
I can't imagine spending 165$ on a brush when something sub 20$ gets the job done, unless this brush also comes with a lifetime warranty
