I got the m6 on a drop a while back, but I haven't been able to get it to work since switching to Linux (Ubuntu to be more specific). Has anybody else had this problem/found a fix?
MrBreakfstYou probably need a driver for Linux. I just joined the drop so I don't have the CD that comes with the DAC/amp yet. Did you check the CD and see if it has a driver for Linux?
MrBreakfstI did some checking and it looks like there are only drivers for Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10. Sorry, but it doesn't look like their are any drivers for Linux.:(
dlbsystI just plugged mine into a MacBook and it came up as 32bit/44.1kHz. I had to open the Audio MIDI Setup app and change the settings. So far so good.
dlbsystI don't know if your issue is fixed or not but I am running antergos on my laptop and it works for me? Maybe look into configuiring alsa? Not an expert btw. Hope your issue gets fixed
MrBreakfstjust an idea, you may want to try the sanskritt amp drivers as a last resort, z-reviews mentioned having the sanskritt drivers were installed on his pc before review and he didnt need to use the smsl drivers.
MrBreakfstIt probably depends on Linux version you have and necessary RPMs for USB Audio 2. Linux, MacOS, iOS and Android have universal support for USB Audio 2. It's the Windows which requires manufacturer driver for that, and 2 types of them - ASIO and USB Audio 2.
