There is no body of water called the "East Japan Sea" [sic]. Perhaps they copy writer meant the Sea of Japan, the name of the body of water between Japan and the Asian mainland.
Though it's shown in one of the photos, the text doesn't mention the included CB adapter that lets the Folding Torch work with inexpensive CB gas cartridges, commonly found at Asian markets for less than two bucks. The adapter is much higher quality than the (mostly plastic) ones marketed by Kovea. And you can use it to power other Lindal valve equipment such as stoves and lanterns with CB cartridges as well.
This is $11.49, lights itself and works well. Not as pretty but more functional. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/kovea-fire-z-torch
Dremel makes one that's pretty good, too, and at a cheaper price. Doesn't look a neat, obviously... but it also doubles as gas-powered soldering iron. This looks really good though, Snow Peak products have a way of persuading people that they really want to own it lol.
This should make short work of my next Crème Brûlée. I'll be sure to move all the valuables out of the house first.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I'd stick w Snow Peak fwiw. I own their older model torch, super useful.
Any takers on this bet? Length of time until some budget factory in China copies this and sells for 10 dollars?
