Which specific version are these? What's the forefoot thickness? I want to order but won't as you aren't telling me what is being offered. IF these are basically the performance thick model, I'd buy multiples. At least give a link to the company's description of this product. Fucking shame, i feel like i might be missing out on a good deal.
FWIW, I'm wearing performance thick at 3.2 mm right now and they're great. Confirm what these actually are before the drop ends so i can make an informed decision.
RussBNo, I sure don't. My experience with SOLE has only been from the Sport and Work ones I have received from Massdrop over the last couple of months. Have never tried the Performance ones. The Sport and Work ones I have (Medium) don't feel any different from one another to me. But I do like the effect of using them - and you can't beat the price here. Personally, I wouldn't bother with the Performance ones. I'm not a runner or athlete. But I am on and off my feet all day at a hospital and the Sport and Work ones are definitely helping.
Ordering 2 more sets. You can't beat $20 a piece! Really liking the two sets I have now. Yes, $7.79 shipping. However, they are quite bulky items to ship.
So if the footbeds were $23.95 and shipping was $4.95, would that somehow be psychologically more acceptable?
Because of their size they come in a huge 19 x 14 padded mailing envelope. That’s definitely not going to ship at the base First Class postage.
glennacI think for a lot of people, the answer is Yes, even though your example is $1 more. Some people just don't do the math. Just calling it as I see it, agreeing with both of you.
MD, please show some love to the hikers in the community, and drop the Sole Active footbeds next! (please 🙂) https://www.massdrop.com/buy/sole-active-footbeds

These are the Medium thickness at 1.6mm.
Using the "Work" term for these footbeds is a tiny bit misleading on SOLE's part.
I would not use these with any type of "work boots" whatsoever.
imo these footbeds are good for dress shoes and sneakers.
personally, I much prefer the SOLE Active Footbeds and await for their return.
They are available in thin, medium and thick - so perfect for any normal footwear.
It would be really helpful if Massdrop would list the forefoot thickness whenever they have Sole footbeds for sale. This varies dramatically, and there's no way known that some of them will fit in lower volume footwear, for instance cycling shoes. (I assume these ones are high volume/thick.)
For those that are curious about the style, width, and size of these inserts; I snapped some photos next to my oldest set of SOLE inserts from my cycling shoes and an insert from my Vasque daily wear shoes. (Both size 11US/45EU)
The red ones in the photos are excellent for cycling and they've been in my shoes for about 3-4 years now. The heat molding to the natural shape of my foot makes for a no-stress environment in my shoes and I've had numerous 12~18 hour days in the saddle with those inserts. The WORK soles from this drop don't quite have the same foot cradling though, the forefoot on them is flatter and more broad than my red ones. Not to say they won't also mold, but I have no experience with them before now.
ADVcyclistWhat Soles are those? I actually want to try putting in my cycling shoes but it's probably gonna be hard to put it in my work shoes if I ever want to use them in my work shoes
I've used these for years. Great support, far better than Superfeet insoles that offer zero arch support. These have nearly cured the plantar fasciitis in my left foot. They may feel a little extreme at first, but they will mold to your feet on their own over time or you can heat mold them.
