Mine arrived yesterday. HATE IT. It is waaaaaaay too complicated to open. Even with instructions, I haven't even been able to open mine after trying for over 5 minutes. Whoever came up with this design was an idiot. Complete waste of money.

JalucianAt the risk of sounding like a total dick....I can't help but ask; How the hell do you expect to pick open a lock if you cant even open the pick tool?

OkieneckYou do sound like a total dick. First of all, picking locks is simpler than getting this worthless thing open. I have no problems picking many locks. The point, however, is that the tool shouldn't be complicated to open. I would have thought the point was obvious, but at the risk of sounding like a dick...[moderated]

JalucianYeah, I gave up on "not trying to be dick" a long time ago. I was just about to get all down on myself because of how "G D stupid" I am when I scrolled thru your comments on previous Drops....... Feel way better about myself now! Thanks

JalucianI believe these amazon comments might assist you man: ************** You pull it up and then out it's a pain to get out haven't figured out how to put it back yet ************** I also found it hard to get out at first. Its spring steel, don't worry about bending it . Pull up just a bit and pull hard, there is a round hole that it goes in and I found that after a few times it comes out easier. The tight fit is a good thing so it doesn't come out easily and you lose it. ************** It slides to the side and you pull at the same time; the tip is inserted into the frame. Also there are several youtube videos online.

And here is a review of the southord:

smallbitHe didn't say its hard to open he said "It is waaaaaaay too complicated to open. Even with instructions, I haven't even been able to open mine after trying for over 5 minutes"! I've got one I know it works, its NOT COMPLICATED. Besides I'd rather have it tight than falling out all the time. My statement stands, if you can't figure out how to open the tool good luck picking the lock. Thx anyway for assistance, But it ain't difficult to figure out even for this dumb redneck.

OkieneckYeah I bought one and I hope mine is tight as hell too. Really would hate to lose that piece and have to replace it.
edit: got it. it's legit. get it. Picks are nicely profiled. Sturdy construction. I could probably run over it in my truck and it wouldnt damage it at all. The pin is a tension thing but it is well done. Not likely to fall out but easy to work with.
