hello all,
I'm a knife guy and a "metal snob" and have all of the ZDP's from spyderco (and one from rockstead)
I would like to raise a few points:
they do keep a great edge but...
they are a nightmare to resharpen.
the alloy is extremely brittle and chips super easy. The lock on my endura actually broke from falling out of my pocket on concrete and all of my ZDP's has chips just from EDC work.
despite of what i wrote, the ZDP dragonfly is still my favorite EDC but we should consider that this alloy is not the best for knives.
Y.RotemWell, they probably did not use zdp-189 on any other metal parts than the blade. So you should not blame the lock breaking on zdp-189 properties
