I don't understand why anybody would want an ABC only watch these days? You can get so much more out of your watch if it's an ABC + GPS. I know they are more expensive, but it's so much more useful...

VanCityPower requirement. I have a 10 year old Suunto Core, still going strong. It runs on CR2032 batteries (from memory).
I think Suunto also have a GPS watch, but it's more gear for runners who can charge it every night, than hikers and camper who might not have power.
