Hey Massdrop. Theses swan speakers and the other ones you guys had for sale little while will never be a successful group buys if Swan is not willing to lower the price for the drop and if you guys can find a way to get shipping price a bit lower for people out side the USA. What's the point of having a drop if the max lowest price is reached on drop thats the same as retail price "if you look around ". Swan needs to stop being greedy and lower the price for the drop and then they will see many people willing and wanting to buy their speaker more.
Will these pack enough punch to liven up my blu-ray movie sounds for a small living room compared to my stock TV speakers? I don't want a full on home theater system, it has to be something that I can move around and use for my laptop/PC, and other media devices. I was also looking into a wireless option from http://www.korussound.com/. It's much more pricier tho, and I'm not too sure if the audio quality will be good enough (V400).
$65.47 for shipping, lol kk.
If I had the money right now I would totally jump on these, but I don't :/ I have been drooling over the d1080 mkIV 08's for awhile now.

I also want the swans d1080 mk IV but the %off on the drop wasn't low enough for me plus that shipping cost :( I will get them if they go up for sale agin but if the sale % off it better then last time
Wow. Extremely high shipping cost to Europe, and are they only 110V?
I'd be interested in some higher end Swan speakers!

$130 set of speakers is definitely on the far low end in the grand scheme of things, even though these are desktops. Audio has a very, very wide range of quality. $3k is a modest home theater when you consider that's ~5 speakers a sub and a pre-amp/amp or receiver.
prawks
Couldn't agree more prawks. $130 is incredibly low-ball for a pair of speakers. And I'm sure *rolls e yes* that there is a slew of options between $130 and $3000.
