Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. Do those not have a built-in sub? Still new to this audiophile stuff, thanks for any advice!
I really can't recommend ditching the included audio source from your PC highly enough. It turns out that the environment inside a PC or laptop, with all the electric fan motors, heat, and magnetic interference, is very hostile to audio reproduction. As soon as you can pick up an off board DAC. Run a simple USB cable from PC to DAC, it's plug & play, no drivers needed. Your PC will recognize it within a minute or two of hooking it up. For me the difference in sound quality was a huge surprise and worth many times the small additional cost.
