The world’s first ultra-telephoto zoom lens for APS-C format cameras, the Tamron 18–400mm f/3.5–6.3 Di II VC HLD lens offers a substantial zoom range that’s well-suited for a variety of applications. Designed for up-close portraits and landscape photography, the lens features a 35mm equivalent focal length of 28.8–640mm. A three-step extension design helps maintain a compact and lightweight form factor without diminishing the lenses broad reach. Thanks to a series of aspherical and low dispersion elements, the lens corrects aberrations and distortion for consistent sharpness and clarity throughout the zoom range. Tamron’s HLD (high/low torque modulated drive) motor provides fast, precise, and responsive focusing for both stills and video applications. To further aid in capturing shake-free photos and videos, the lens comes with vibration compensation.
