How long is the battery life? I am going to travel and would like to secure my leather luggage with the device (I am worried that one of the "extremely vetted" airport employees gonna walk away with it and I'd like to be in the position to track and retrieve it.

I have to ask why does this cost so much? It's a GPS devise with elementary GSM capabilities and you have to use third-party proprietary service.
