Scandinavia isn’t known for its watches. But leave it to Sweden—which seems to leave its imprint on everything in the style-and-design sphere these days—to change that. Founded in the capital of Stockholm in 2007, Triwa combines a vintage minimalist aesthetic with a unique assortment of materials to produce a line of watches at once timeless and distinctive. Take the Nevil, for example, with its translucent brown acetate case, its brushed silver dial, and its Swedish-leather strap. It’s a classic at first glance, but wholly singular upon further inspection.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of dial: Black/Silver or Blue/Gold.
This Miyota OS21 quartz-powered chronograph watch features a 24-hour subdial at 3 o’clock and a 60-minute timer at 9 o’clock. To start and stop the seconds hand on the main dial, press the pusher at 2 o’clock; to reset it, press the pusher at 4 o’clock. Absent of numerals, the hour positions are instead denoted by applied stick markers. A rehaut is adorned with Arabic numerals in increments of five, between which sit small fifth-second markers. For visibility, the hour and minute hands are lumed, and the seconds hand is colored orange.
