Great deal, and then you look at shipping. You really need to get your shipping costs down. Nearly every drop I see anymore isn't even a good deal when you add in the extra cost. I can't even imagine what rate you are shipping at to get these costs.

This is one of the worst ripoff's I've ever seen on Massdrop. These are all the basic Satin Tower Deck Boxes that can be had on Amazon for under $11 with prime shipping. Please no one buy this drop. I like Massdrop and have used it many times, but just be aware and investigate before allowing cons to rip people of with crap like this.

Thank you for lowering the price. Now it makes sense (and I actually joined the drop). To be clear my comment was aimed at the initial price, not what it's at now. And part of what made it so bad initially wasn't just that it was more expensive than Amazon, but that it would also take a week or more to get it. Time is more valuable then money, so to ask someone to pay more AND take longer to get was just horrible. As I said, now though, it's a good deal and I'm participating!

TechRavingMadAh, I was not aware that the original lowest price was 12.99. And it only shows up for me as being 14.99->12.99->9.99, without an indication the 9.99 was added later. That was why I was baffled that anyone thought this was a bad deal!

No Deal! Shipping kills this. These can be had for about 11 bucks at LGS (can have it now) or free shipping from Amazon.

Protip: make one of the boxes in your order black or white. When you get them switch the bottom trays, it makes them look great and really stand out!

I would have but I hit this drop super late so my options were black and green, black and white, or either white/black with some weird color like cyan or magenta. Red was sadly out of stock (because it would indeed look awesome).

a small flat rate box is $6.10, these will not fit in them(they fit a single VHS tape), but a medium flat rate is $11.95, and these will fit in that, odds are MD gets a discount.... so prbly $7-8(post office has a variable up to 40% discount for high volume shippers) + labor and padding materials(this part is in the pennies)... so 8.25 seems fine to me for a shipping cost, massdrop isn't amazon who has negotiated even lower shipping costs with companies due to their massive volume.
I would however... would like to see a slower cheaper shipping choice, using their own boxes + first class mail, shipping cost could likely get into the range of $3-$5, would overall just mean getting things 1-3 days slower(or in some cases... no speed reduction at all)

Idk why everyone's complaining about the shipping. Just order in bulk and it's not that bad. It's called MASSdrop. Don't you people have friends? You play Magic for goodness sake. There's a whole cult community built around this game. (yes, I play too) Just pair up with some of your friends, don't be so stingy, and order them all together. I just priced an order of 8 of them and they're barely over $6 a piece. Yes, it will take forever to get them, but I already don't have them, so for me, it's worth the wait. That's really what you have to decide on.

BloozyyThe thing is the shipping doesn't scale linearly with the number you order. In larger orders (3 or 4 sets) the price actually becomes pretty attractive.

What the heck is the shipping for this drop? This isn't even a deal. You can buy these for like 10-12 dollars from literally any other site. Why would someone pay 12 for 2 plus an addition 8 bucks for shipping, PLUS having to wait for Massdrop/Vendor to ship them in a month to 3 months. What a joke, don't waste your money on this. Sadly, I am seeing a trend with Massdrop. More often than not the price is low but has outrageous shipping, or isn't even a deal, and even if it is, shipping almost always takes SO much longer than anywhere else. If it's a good deal, I don't mind waiting, but somewhere along the line they have lost what they use to be as a website. It's basically a lesser Amazon now. :/

I am a huge fan of this deck box and would like to get more of them. The problem is I can get them for $9.99 at my local game store. I am having a hard time seeing how this is a savings with the high shippng cost?
