On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? The "Quiet Click" switches are dampened internally on both the down-stroke (bottoming-out) and up-stroke (key return). The internal metal leaf provides tactile feedback but does not make a click sound when activated.
The "Click" switches have no dampening, so the down and up strokes sound like regular mechanical switches. The internal metal leaf in "Click" switches provide tactile feedback while also making an audible click noise when activated.
I think it was a marketing mistake of Matias to call them "Quiet Click" instead of "Tactile Dampened".
Hope this helps!
