If there’s two main complaints we hear from most flask owners, it’s that their vessel corrupts the taste and they can never find a funnel to fill it up properly. Addressing both issues with superior construction, the Vargo Titanium Funnel Flask gives you a tasteless and highly durable titanium body with a silicone funnel that stays securely on top Read More
Great flask and the spirits inside the flask don't take on that nasty metallic taste from the titanium, as they do with other flasks. The built in silicone funnel is great. The only addition I could wish for is perhaps a little chain or cable that could be used to attach the cap to the flask. (edited: spelling)
Awesome flask and the funnel is absolutely the bomb!! Customer service was fantastic when a freaking HORSE decided to nibble and tear the funnel when the flask was sitting on a picnic table.
I have two keith Ti flasks and they both have their own finicky issues. This Vargo though runs pretty good. The silicon funnel works great but you do have to clean it on the regular since it stays in your dirty pocket 24 hrs a day and then when you sneak out into the garage at your parents house at 12am to refill from the liquor shelf you find a dust bunny has fallen in but you don’t care because it won’t be a problem until the next morning at work after you’ve had a meeting with upper management and they’re not happy about your “performance” and you go back to your office and pour a stiff glass only to find.......the bunny has fallen into your Mt Dew bottle so then you have to fish that furball out or, if you’re like me, just slug it down and get over it. We’ve got sales to make! Also the threads on the cap are a little bishy. Only one entrance and it’s hard to thread and the cap is a bit heavy so that entrance is a little difficult to find.
This is my second titanium flask from Vargo (I thought I lost the first only to find it a week after this was delivered) and I still love it. The funnel is ingenious and the construction is top notch. This second one came with a factory defect and was leaking from a pin sized hole at the top corner. A simple email to Vargo and they let me return the leaky one and got a new one back in about a week. Super easy, and super friendly to deal with, it's companies like Vargo that deserve to be recognized.
I bought this for skiing and backpacking to be able to carry a little pop for the end of the day to sooth aching joints and muscles. Its perfect for that, with one exception. The lid has a tendency to pop off and drop out of cold hands while unscrewing it. I have not lost it yet, but have dropped it several times. Just gotta be careful.
Pretty great flask with a useful funnel! Except that its construction is such that if you carry it in your pocket, the seam along the side of the flask will open and spill alcohol everywhere, therefore making you extremely dirty, wasting a ton of good, expensive liquid, and rendering the entire thing completely worthless.
EDIT: To follow up, I reached out to Vargo and they replaced my flask without issue. Awesome customer service! We'll see if the side gives out again, but so far, so good.
BrimfireThe "seam", by the way, looked like a tight weld on the side of the flask? Not sure how else to explain it.

BrimfireI also am considering this but would love a clarification. The flask got "crushed" and it split along the sides? I also thought it was cast considering the material and shape so there shouldnt be welds. Anyhow glad they fixed it, think im going to grab it just off all the good CS vibes.
I have put both a Bruichladdaich and Speyside in this guy, though not at the same time (and I know it sounds really messed up, but technically the Classic Laddie is a 5 year scotch that’s still excellent).
Its been more of an American bourbon container recently, but mostly that’s because I’m at home with my Glencairn glasses a lot this past year.
Didn't ask me, but as I'm using the flask for scotch (single malt) only :)
I tested the flask with Glenfarclas 105 (nice for testing due to ist 60%), later I used it for the 105/20y.
As this stuff is gone, the flask is now filled with Tomintoul Single Cask Sherry 2004/2018.
A second flask with the last nip of Glenfarclas 105/20 is stored in the car for cases of emergency :D
So yes, it's definitly fine for Scotch
The flask is quite light, but robust. I started with filling it with Glenfarclas 105 and tried the drink 10 days after filling. Compared to a 105 directly from the (glas)bottle I can't find any change, the flask seems neutral to me.
Now it's filled with Glenfarclas 105/20y :D
I bought this to replace an old stainless flask. I tested it for a while storing some good bourbon to see if there was any change in flavor and I didn't notice a difference.
