This arrived just last week. I have since gone on a weekend away with it and it is perfect for my needs. It would be tight for a larger laptop - not sure about how easily I could fit a 17" laptop, but my 15" laptop fitted fine.
I was a little surprised at how heavy duty the zips on the front were, the teeth of the zips are quite chunky and you feel them each time you place or remove something from those pockets. Take this with a grain of salt though as with all the soft pockets inside the main compartment of the bag, you can easily avoid putting anything you are worried about scratching there instead.
As soon as I unboxed this bag, all my co-workers crowded round asking where to get it from. That's definitely a winner in my books!

So I got this on a whim, and now I discover the claim of fitting a 17" laptop in it? I would say you can do it, it just is an incredibly tight fit for a Thinkpad P71. If it was an inch bigger by length and width, I'd be more comfortable with that claim, but it's better to say it supports 15" laptops. I'll see if I can use it for a three day trip I'm taking, but I'm not sure if there's enough room for all I plan on taking with me.

Great. The backpack straps are way too long at its shortest setting.
The main compartment holds 16.5’’ x 11.5’’ x 4’’(maybe you can squeeze an extra half an inch).

Fashionable and functional, so I can't say a bad thing about this! The bag fits my laptop (15") perfectly and switching between the briefcase and backpack is quick. The Venque gets tons of compliments and questions on where I purchased it. If you're looking for a solid business casual bag, this is it.
