Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

I have not yet opened up my second pair of Monk+ to see if burn-in has actually helped. I think I'll wait a bit longer before I do that.
As for comfort, I will have to give the edge to the Earpods. Without foams, the Monk+ is a bit scratchy where the black plastic meets the red shell. I've settled on one layer of foam on my Monk+. They can still fit in relatively comfortably in my ear, and they get rid of the edges of the earbud shell. They also help tame some of the harshness in the treble. I have not had any issues with physical comfort, surprisingly. My ears do not normally like earbuds, especially the original apple earbuds.
I've tried many freebie earbuds and these will blow those out of the water. IMHO they're slightly above the Earpods. So if you're looking for earbuds specifically, these are pretty good for the price point. However, if you're fine with IEMs, I'd take my Xiaomi Piston Colorful Editions over these. You lose a small amount of clarity and have a bassier profile, but the treble isn't ear-piercingly hot and they're built better overall. They're only 5-6 bucks with free shipping on gearbest too, so the price is actually a bit cheaper too.
Hoped this helped in some way.
Edit: Oops. I got it completely wrong... result of surfing the web after midnight. So, you are using apple earpods with the earskinz.
