Griddle has very rough surface

I ordered the griddle expecting it to be higher quality than Lodge...it’s not. It’s thinner than I expected but worse of all, it has a very rough surface.

It arrived extremely well packaged. My only disappointment with it , -- I did not see this in any of the ads-- but in the booklet with the warranty is that it is limited to oven use of 400 degrees. I like to do pizza in a 450 degree oven and use for steaks under the broiler. Many enameled cast iron products have a 500 degree limit. It stove top use has been very satisfactory. Non sticking with a little bit of oil. Would not purchase the 10 inch. Use my well seasoned Lodge for the uses where the Viking is extremely deficient.
