Handmade in Florence, Visconti’s Rembrandt fountain pen was introduced in 2009. It features a variegated resin body and a postable magnetic cap, both of which are unique to this model. The spring-loaded pocket clip—featuring Visconti’s bridge-like design—is engraved with the company name, while the stainless steel nib is firm but performs smoothly while standing up to heavy-handed use.
Note: At checkout, you'll have your choice of body color (back-to-black ruthenium, black, blue, gray ruthenium, ivory, ivory bronze, khaki green ruthenium, orange, purple, red, or white) and nib size (fine, medium, or broad). Not all combinations are available.
Like many pens in the Visconti family, the Rembrandt pays homage to one of history’s most celebrated artists. The pen’s variegated marbled-resin barrel—with its wispy threads of white—draws inspiration from the Dutch Renaissance painter’s use of chiaroscuro, or light-on-dark contrast. And because the resin was hand-selected, no two pens feature the same pattern. Also unique to the Rembrandt is the chrome-plated cap band, which honors the artist with fine engravings of both his name and motifs found in his work.
