Athletic meets tailored in the Vlado Venice, a low-top sneaker with one unexpected touch: woven details on the upper reminiscent of the broguing on a wingtip. The knit textile upper is breathable enough for warm-weather wear and the lace closure offers a secure fit, wherever adventure takes you Read More
First thing I noticed was how heavy they are for sneakers, but I got used to that quickly. The sole is also on the thicker side, but otherwise very comfortable except for a little bump where your heel sits (not sure what it's good for). The stitching looks good, but on closer inspection you can see the knitting is a little bit rough and uneven at places. The shoelaces are really nice, although very thing they do feel sturdy and look amazing. So all in all I'd say they are great value, and the compromises are (imo) acceptable at this price point.
You can get this directly from the vendor's website for $5 more. You also won't have to wait a month to get them. And you can return them if they don't fit.
I read an online review elsewhere saying that the soles are made of a hard plastic, and is very slippery on smooth wet surfaces. Is there any merit to that?
Solid shoe, love the design, but only good for casual use, dont try using these for activities cause the heel area has a stretchy fit which causes the shoe to slip off sometimes
