WE Knife’s brand-new 707 Series is about as ergonomic as it gets. Whether you’re grasping the contoured handle in a standard grip or choking up for detailed cuts, it feels like it was meant for the job—not to mention it’s jimped in all the right areas for a tight grip Read More
It's NOT regular price, Massdrop is 1 cent cheaper than regular price :-)
Seriously, why would anyone pay this full price then have to wait for shipping, and put up with a policy of 'all sales final'?
I've been waiting a year for this drop to come back because of the price break given last time. Should have just bought elsewhere a long time ago.
JonasHeinemanIt's nice that it is back, it is just unfortunate that it is the same price as everywhere else without the wait. Not sure why anyone would join this drop .....
I'm in the market for a new Edc. My main go to is a Ka-bar mule folder. Iv put this blade threw hell. It's been in the Alberta bush and with stood all I can throw at it. My concern is if I attempt to do the same with one of the weknives. Il pretty much be wasting a nice chunk of change on something I should just keep on a shelf. Or not even buy. Iv tryed contacting weknives they seem not to care about serious questions regarding the longevity of the knife. If anyone has used it can u please tell me ur opinion.
GreenLanternThey make fantastic knives, not just dressy and shiny ones.
That said, any knife with bearings can accumulate a bit of grit, so if you're going out in the bush for weeks, maybe this isn't the style of knife you need?
GreenLanternYou might check out CIVIVI. Same engineering and design staff that produce and manufacture the WE line, but they're made in more pedestrian materials like 8CR steel and G10 scales, vs carbon fiber and titanium and M390/S35VN. Still have the same fantastic bearing pivots, ergonomics, stylish designs, and all so far cost sub $100 USD.
I did , got it in on the Crux drop.
Just wondering on others thoughts/reasons for going with this one for double the price other than getting it a lot quicker. I guess the ergo's and looks are a little different.
Tman72It's the fit and finish and a mix of more materials. Basically they do more with these knives than the crux. That doesn't necessarily mean the knife will work as a knife any better but it does mean that you'll get something that had more effort put into it. Internal milling for weight reduction, chamfered edges, more complicated patterns, stuff like that. All that takes time and money.
Got mine today. Damn nice knife. I can't find any major faults or annoyances with it (except the proprietary screws, meh). Feels good in my hand. Snaps open and falls shut. Love the blade shape and thumb ramp. And no markings on the blade, except the steel name discretely placed on the back. Very clean. It's a modern knife but the colors give a nod to a traditional bolster and handle look.
